Michael Volk didn’t just study science; he lived it. Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised with intellectual rigor, he graduated summa cum laude in Biology from TCU and began working in medical research. Yet his deeper calling was clear: the pursuit of systems, structure, and justice that would ultimately lead him to law.

That path led Michael to law, specifically to the cutting edge where science and innovation meet. At Arizona State University he immersed himself in the study of intellectual property, mastering the complex link between technology and legal protection. Soon after, he earned admission to the Arizona State Bar and became licensed with the USPTO as a Registered Patent Attorney. Since then, he has guided clients in safeguarding their ideas with precision and care.

Since joining Volk & McElroy, LLP in 2010, he has expanded his practice to include trial litigation, criminal defense, personal injury, and family law, earning recognition as a Rising Star and a Top Trial Lawyer under 40.
